Monit Privacy Policy

The short version

Monit collects nothing. Everything stays on your device.

What we store, and where

Monit stores all of your data — transactions, budgets, accounts, categories, and settings — locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, receive, or have access to any of your personal or financial information.

No tracking, no ads, no analytics

The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We cannot see how you use the app, and we like it that way.

Exports

Data leaves your device only if you explicitly export it (for example, the CSV export feature), and that export goes only where you choose to send it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes your data. You can also erase all data from within the app at any time (Settings → Erase All Data).

Future features

If a future version of Monit offers optional cloud backup or sync, it will be strictly opt-in, and this policy will be updated before that feature ships.
